This calculator can be used for calculation of flow rate and
pressure drop calculation in natural gas distribution network
for single gas line.
This calculator is applicable for calculation of flow rate and
pressure drop calculation in natural gas distribution network
for a single gas line.
Natural gas is considered as compressible, so you can use this
calculator for medium and high pressure gas lines, which means
that pressure must be higher than 1 bar man, and lower than 100 bar.
Also calculator can be used if the gas line is longer than 1m (L>1m). Minor
losses and pressure changes due to hight change are not included in this
calculation. The temperature in underground gas lines can be considered
constant as the drop in temperature due to pressure drop is compensated
with the heat that the gas is getting from the tarrain.
This calculator can be used for calculation of pressure drop
(p1-p2), or for calculation of flow rate (Q), or
mass flow rate (G). Flow rate Q is calculated at standard conditions which
are pressure (atmopheric) p = 101325 Pa and temperature T=288.15 K.
